SWAT:- Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan has said here on Wednesday that development and prosperity of people is the top priority of the provincial government.
The construction of Swat Motorway Phase II, Malakand Division will become a real tourism hub. He was talking to Senior Journalists of Swat Press Club at his office yesterday.
The delegation included Chairman Swat Press Club Mehboob Ali, Chief Organizer Ghulam Farooq, President Malakand Division Union of Journalists Shahzad Alam and Former Chairman Rasheed Iqbal.
Mehboob Ali, Chairman Swat Press club, briefed the CM about problems faced by journalists Community in Swat. The CM assured the delegation of his cooperation to resolve the issues. Mahmood promised that problems of the journalist community will be solved on a priority basis.
The chief minister said PTI’s government was carrying out development work in all the districts of KPK province on equal basis.
“ Work on Swat Motorway Phase II will start in September. This is a mega project which will facilitate more tourists from all over the country to the area. Due to the pragmatic steps taken by the incumbent government, as many as 2.7 million local and foreign tourists visited the tourist spots across Swat valley during current season. These tourists spent Rs66 billion in the province,” the Chief Minister said.
He went on saying that the PTI government was spending huge resources on the promotion of the tourism sector.
“ Our government has planned various development projects in the province to boost the tourism activities.. We are implementing PM Imran’s vision in the province. Various development schemes have been started in the entire province that would usher in a new era of development and prosperity in the area,” Mahmood concluded.
