horrible floods in Pakistan

A year after Pakistan was devastated by extraordinary floods, millions of children still lack access to basic services and humanitarian aid.

Numerous regions that were most severely affected were already among the most disadvantaged in the nation, with low school attendance, high rates of hunger, and limited access to water and sanitation for children. Pre-existing disparities were exacerbated by the destruction of essential infrastructure, including as hundreds of public health institutions and schools, which put children at even greater danger of malnutrition and illness.

Since the first day of the emergency response, UNICEF has been on the ground working with partners, and it is currently dedicated to helping families who are still impacted by the destruction.
